Whatever you want to call it, it's guaranteed to be a great night to shake off any winter (or Covid or storm) blues!

The Shindig has its own Facebook event so you can share it with your friends:  Gembrook Shindig 2023!

The important stuff

- Entry is ONLY by pre-purchased tickets.

- Ticket sales are open from Tuesday 1 August 2023.

- Ticket sales close Friday 1 September 2023.

- Numbers are limited and the Shindig sells out everytime - book early!

- Tickets $31 per person (includes booking fee).

- Table seating - up to 8 people per table. If your group is more than 8 people we will do our best to get your friends seated at a nearby table. Bookings of less than 8 may be seated with other guests to make up a table of 8.

 - Please take all your rubbish home at the end of the night and help leave the hall in a clean and tidy condition.

-  The Shindig will run under any prevailing Covid-19 restrictions.  Currently there are none; let's hope it stays that way.  Of course, if you are feeling unwell, please stay home and rest and get better.

-  Purchase of tickets means that you and your guests have agreed to the following conditions:

  • Please be respectful to all.  No form of discrimination, threat, verbal abuse or aggression will be tolerated.
  • If intending to consume alcohol, please plan a designated driver.
  • All alcohol is to be consumed in a responsible manner.  Intoxicated attendees may be refused entry or asked to leave.
  • Do not provide alcohol to under 18s.
  • Enter and exit the hall and carpark quietly - the venue is close to local residences.
  • GRC reserves the right to refuse entry, or to request attendees to leave the event, if they behave contrary to any of these conditions.

How do I book?

Click the 'Get Tickets' button on the top right, above the map, or at the bottom of this page.  You can book as an individual, or small group, or make up a table/tables of family and/or friends (up to 8 people per table).  If you book separately we will do our best to get you on a table with your friends but to guarantee being on the same table it's best to do one booking for your group if possible.

What's planned?

We will have our own fabulous local band “The 7.30 Thursdays” playing and a dance floor area for you to get down and boogie.  During the band’s breaks we will have games (similar to those played at trivia nights) and a raffle and a silent auction with some great prizes to be won, so bring along your small change, cards or Wallet app on your phone and join in the fun.

I'd like to get my business better known in the community....

If you  have a business or service you'd like to promote to the local community, consider making a donation.  Donating businesses are listed as sponsors on our Facebook and event pages, our website, on posters in the hall, and on every table on the night itself.  The Shindig is Gembrook Riding Club's major fundraiser, so any donations that can be used as prizes for the raffle or silent auction are greatly appreciated!  For more information, please email GRCshindig@gmail.com.

What if.....

....there's a Covid outbreak and we're in lockdown again, or another horrendous storm affects the community and there's no power?

If we need to cancel the event all monies will be refunded except the fee charged by the payment gateway (approximately 80c per ticket).

... I'm affected by sound and light effects?

We have engaged a sound and light engineer to ensure the best possible experience for attendees, so please bear this in mind before purchasing tickets if you or any of your guests are sensitive to theatre effects.

Band proceeds go to the Gembrook CFA.

This event has been registered with the Victoria Police PartySafe Program.  We want everyone to have a fun night and then get home safely.

If you have any further questions please email GRCshindig@gmail.com
